Here's a look at what we will be doing this week:
*Reading: We will be looking at Question-Answer Relationships (QAR). We will be reviewing summarizing.
*Writing: We will be writing introductions and conclusions for our informational writing and also working on peer conferencing.
*Word Study: Each group will receive a new sort this week. We will also be understanding the "Bossy R" (r-controlled vowels: ar, er, ir, ur, or), as a class.
*This week will be working on graphing: creating them and answering questions about them. We will be focusing on the vocabulary words: scale, interval, mode, and range.
*We planted today and we will hopefully observe our plants' growth over the week. We will also discuss bees and pollination. We will look at the unique relationships bees and plants have with each other.
*We will be reviewing our unit and testing later this week. A completed study guide will come home tomorrow.
*Please return the National Boards permission form for me. I will try to scan one and post it on the website in case your child's has gone missing.
*We will have a practice spelling bee on Tuesday. All students will participate in the practice.
*We will have our official bee on Wednesday. I will take pictures of participants, finalists, and the winner and share them with parents since our bee will be closed to visitors. Thanks for understanding!
